Why plated

The core is sealed in copper, base included.

Each core is electroplated after forming, so the copper layer covers the whole surface. There is no open base and no bare lead touching the bore.

Encapsulated core

Copper covers nose, shank and base. A good fit for indoor ranges and training ammunition where exposed lead is a concern.

Clean bores

The plated surface leaves less residue in the barrel than bare lead, so guns need cleaning less often.

Held to size

A precision restrike after plating brings every projectile back to its final diameter and profile.

Volume from one plant

Pressing, plating and finishing run in-house in Çerkezköy, with capacity for 70 million projectiles a year.

Product range

Fully copper-plated projectiles

Four calibers, eight standard weights. Every projectile is fully electroplated, so no lead is exposed at the base.

Match-weight sorting

For precision and match ammunition, projectiles can be weighed one by one on a 0.01-grain scale and sorted to the declared weight. Available on request for any caliber.

Other weights and profiles can be produced on request. Our 9mm 124 gr projectile passed C.I.P. type testing at the Czech proof authority (ČÚZZS) in May 2025; the finding is shared with buyers on request.

Copper-plated pellets

Plated round lead shot from 6.10 mm to 9.14 mm, from the same plating line. The copper layer keeps pellets round under firing pressure, which gives tighter, more even patterns and less lead fouling in barrels and chokes.

Copper-plated cores

Plated lead inserts for bullet makers: press them into your own jackets on your existing FMJ line to make closed-base TMJ bullets. How it works

TOR44 technology

Electro-fused TMJ.

The evolution of precision and sustainability: copper electro-fused to the lead core, so the projectile behaves as one body and no lead is left exposed.

  1. Zero lead exposure

The entire core, base included, is sealed in copper. Less lead vapour forms on firing, which helps keep the air in indoor ranges cleaner and reduces environmental impact.

  2. Two-piece system

A conventional TMJ bullet relies on three separate parts working together: lead core, jacket and base disc. In TOR44 projectiles the copper is bonded to the core and they act as a single unit, so structural integrity holds even at high spin rates.

  3. TMJ on standard FMJ lines

Our copper-plated cores let bullet makers produce closed-base TMJ bullets on their existing FMJ press lines, without complex modifications. How it works

  4. Concave and flat base

Besides the flat base of conventional TMJ bullets, our process can form a concave base. The concave geometry improves gas sealing at the muzzle and gives a more stable flight path.

For bullet makers

Make TMJ bullets on your FMJ line.

A standard FMJ press line cannot make total-metal-jacket bullets: the lead core stays exposed at the base. TOR44 solves this at the core.

  1. We plate the core. TOR44 supplies the lead insert you already use, fully copper-plated.
  2. You press as usual. The plated insert goes into your brass jacket on your existing FMJ line, with no new press line or major modification.
  3. The base is closed. The finished bullet is a TMJ bullet: no lead is visible at the base.

How it is made

Five stages, one building.

Every projectile passes through the same sequence on our line in Çerkezköy.

  1. Freshly pressed lead cores in a red machine hopper STAGE 1

    Rough press

Cores are pressed close to final shape.

  2. Projectiles moving across a perforated vibratory deck STAGE 2

    Vibratory deburring

Edges and burrs are removed before plating.

  3. Row of electroplating tanks under a gantry STAGE 3

    Electroplating

A continuous copper layer is built over the whole core.

  4. Twin-station precision restrike press with its feeder bowls STAGE 4

    Precision restrike

Final diameter and profile are set to tolerance.

  5. Copper-plated projectiles falling through a polishing screen STAGE 5

    Polishing

A vibratory finish gives the smooth copper surface.

About TOR44

A projectile maker built for export.

Founded in 2023, TOR44 Teknoloji manufactures copper-plated projectiles, plated pellets and bullet cores at its plant in Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ. Pressing, electroplating, precision restrike and polishing all run in one building, with a capacity of 70 million projectiles a year.

Our customers are ammunition loaders and reloading-component distributors. We are now appointing our first distributors in Europe and North America, and we have exhibited at IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg two years in a row.

Every export is licensed: TOR44 obtains the Turkish export licence for each customer, and the buyer arranges the import permit their country requires.

Ordering and export

Simple to start, licensed to ship.

No minimum order

We do not ship free samples. Instead there is no MOQ, so your first order can be a trial lot of any size, run on your own loading line.

Export licence per customer

TOR44 obtains the Turkish export licence for each customer. You arrange the import permit your country requires, and we help with the paperwork.
